earth and sky

Yogananta training sessions are held in Santa Fe, New Mexico, a place of natural beauty and open space, nestled against the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo mountains. At once you will find yourself closer to the Earth and the sky, with open vistas always available to inspire and remind one to breathe. The colors here year round are stunning, the food excellent, and the town easily accessible.

registration and tuition

Our program is held at various venues in Santa Fe depending on the size of the group and what is available seasonally. When you choose your preferred session listed below you will be taken to the appropriate registration page and will find all the details for your session.

New students to the yogananta program will be asked to respond to a few questions during registration so we may have a better feel for their passions and interest in yoga. All registrations are replied to in earnest with details about payment and other logistics if accepted.

Tuition is $900 per level

Tuition is a flat rate per each of three levels and covers the training and use of venue facilities. All food, lodging, and transportation are the responsibility of each participant. We are happy to help you organize your stay. You may email Sean with any questions or concerns.

frequently asked questions

Do I have to have been practicing yoga for a specific period of time?

It is impossible to require of our participants some arbitrary number of years of practice. Two years solid practice would be a good number but cannot apply to everyone. What is requested however is that you have a felt sense of being in the body – what we might call ‘body awareness’.

May I attend the course if I do not intend on teaching yoga?

Yes. Not everyone will be taking the course to obtain a certificate for teaching, and the course material and the way in which it is presented will very much appeal to those interested in deepening an existing practice. The yogananta course helps to develop an individual's personal practice, deepening his or her dialogue with the Inner Teacher. Our personal practice is led by intuition and deep studies, and often becomes the inspiration to teach.

Must I attend the three levels of the training in order?

No. Since the yogananta curriculum is designed to serve as an in–depth studies program intended to deepen any practice, and is based on global meridians and major structural functional relationships, students may attend the course levels in any order. Some will choose to repeat any of the three immersions to dive again into the depth of the material covered and to fuel the fires of their practice.

What will be covered in levels 1, 2 and 3?

The curriculum is rich and constantly evolves, and is never presented exactly the same way twice. This is precisely why some participants will want to repeat part of the course to review and discover what’s new. To see a loose outline of the course curriculum as it is taught over the three levels go here.

When it’s over, I want to say: All my life I was a bride married to amazement. I was the bridegroom, taking the world into my arms. When it’s over, I don’t want to wonder if I have made of my life something particular, and real. I don’t want to find myself sighing and frightened, or full of argument. I don’t want to end up simply having visited this world. —Mary Oliver
