As 2007 draws to a close, Margi and I find ourselves settled into our wonderful new home. The baby is growing abundantly in preparation for a March arrival, and we are simply thrilled. Those of you who were looking forward to the retreat in Guatemala at Lake Atitlan can look forward to the same event rescheduled for sometime in January of 2009. We know it’s a long way off, but time does fly, and we'll be there before you know it!
I have established ERYT-500 status with Yoga Alliance, which is long overdue, but necessary. This simply means I can teach at the 200 or 500 hour levels to teachers as recognized by the alliance.
I am no longer developing a 200 hour teacher training course. There are simply too many such courses available, and besides, it is not my deepest interest. What I am instead planning on offering are immersions designed to deepen anyone’s practice, regardless of whether or not they are teachers. This is my most passionate work. These immersions will be meant for picking up where a standard teacher training ends, with in–depth studies and application of the many tools of the trade. We will look to support and augment any teacher training program, offering participants the opportunity to shape their own practice and style through a balance of technique, clear voice, and inner knowing. Look for more information soon on this website.
I had a short article published in a local Santa Fe magazine called the Sun Monthly. I will add an articles page to the board here shortly. Please feel free to contact me with comments on current articles or ideas for future writing interests.
We would like to send out our deepest love and gratitude to our friends and community, locally in Santa Fe and abroad. As the year ends this evening we will pray and hold big space for all of you, ourselves, and our spaceship Earth.

The workshop this past weekend in St. Louis was fantastic! What an amazing community Kitty Daly has there, and I am again blessed to have visited and played yoga. If you are looking for a great yoga studio in St. Louis, look no farther than Big Bend Yoga.
Margi and I are unfortunately going to have to cancel our Guatemala retreat. This bad news comes with the great news of our baby to be, the due date being mid to late March. It is just too close to the retreat for comfort, and so we must cancel. Our deepest apologies to those of you who were going to make it. We will undoubtedly plan other events, both outside and inside the US. Sorry if we are messing up any travel yoga plans. We'll make it up to you. Check the retreats page often for updates.
september 10th,
Today I am finally launching the second generation of this website, after a complete overhaul of the old school “slice and dice” site originally launched in 2005. The site you are currently viewing is a more future friendly W3C compatible site, utilizing strict XHTML content and CSS stylesheets. Modern web browsers do not necessarily adhere to recent standards set forth by the W3C, and so to view this site correctly, you must have a web standards compliant browser. Of the most common browsers available, Firefox and Apple's Safari are the best, and both are available for mac and pc platforms. Internet Eplorer continues to be a mess, and is being dropped by many folks as the web begins a deep reconfiguration under the new standards. Please do not attempt to view this site with any version of Internet Explorer.
Margi and I are expecting a baby! Hopefully we’ll get a girl to balance our two boys. But of course we'll be blessed with a boy too! Because of this late and wonderful news, our retreat planned next year in Guatemala is going to change a bit. Margi will have to stay home, and I will join forces with my friend Barbara Powell at the retreat. There will likely be some modifications to the retreat, so please check back here again soon for the details, or visit the retreats page.
More workshops have been added for this Fall, in Louisville, Colorado and Albuquerque, New Mexico. Others are on the table for next year. Check the workshops page for details.
Peace and good dogs!

It's been a while I know . . . life has been full on!
As classes here in Santa Fe continue to grow and prosper, we are moving deeper into a more therapuetic practice, with more collective humility and wisdom than ever before. This is the practice we'll be doing the rest of our lives together. We are taking the big plunge.
A new page has been added to this site under the schedule heading for yoga retreats. Margi and I are hosting a retreat in January of 2008 at Villa Sumaya, a beautiful retreat center on Lake Atitlan, in Guatemala. We are thrilled to be able to offer this. For more information, go the the new retreats page and click on the banner for the event.
I have been on hold with the teacher training curriculum, and will continue with it in the next few months. I am hoping to have the program started in the Fall of 2008. Some of you who live here in Santa Fe, and a few others whom do not, have expressed interest in the training, and I appreciate your patience.
The redesign of this website is moving along at a steady pace, and should be launched in the next 60-90 days or so. You can read earlier news on this page for more details about the new website.
The Fall workshop lineup is peppered with late events popping up in Little Rock, St. Louis, and Santa Fe, with possible events slated for Birmingham, Chattanooga, and Atlanta. You can always find the latest shop schedule on the workshops page of this website.
april 12th,
We finally found a home to rent in Santa Fe! It took almost two months, and without the generosity and patience of some good friends here we would be lost. We move in May 1st. Public classes at Yoga Source and BODY are going well, and it's fantastic to be back in the mix again with the smiles and familiar faces (and dog poses) here in Santa Fe.
Some workshops are coming up in St. Louis, Birmingham, Texas, and here in Santa Fe in April and May. The Birmingham immersion that we had planned has been reworked into a standard weekend workshop (focus is on the shoulders), since it seems the immersion was a bit much for now.
I have had to pause development of the teacher training curriculum and the redesign of this website until we can get settled in and are able to continue.

Margi and I have moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico. For me it is coming home to a sweet community, to inspiration and much joy. We are looking for a place to live here, and in the meatime local yoga classes at YogaSource and BODY are off to a beautiful start.
For the past two months I have been climbing the steep learning curve of redesigning this website to make it W3C compliant, using clean XHTML and CSS and nothing more. All this will result in a more accessible website, and a better overall design with faster load times. The look will change a bit, but not so much that it will be unfamiliar.
january 18th,
The new year is rolling with exciting events on the horizon. I am moving back to Santa Fe, New Mexico in mid-February, where I am developing a 200 hour Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher training course (RYS 200) that will start up in September. The school is called “yogananta”, which means umilimited or boundless yoga. The administration and logistics will be handled through the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts, and the training itself will be held at a not yet determined Santa Fe venue. This is the culmination of much continued hard work and devotion, and will be a fantastic avenue for aiding the growing global yoga community with dynamic, authentic and humble learning resources. For more information go to the official yogananta site (in development).
